I started paddling a while
ago, not too sure when but back
home in the land of big wellies
and Velcro gloves. I didn't really
start paddling properly until
I moved to Edinburgh for university.
From there I haven't looked back,
there is plenty of fun to be had
up in Scotland and a good group
to do so with. Since then I have
also spent every summer away on
or funding a paddling trip. The
expedition this summer should
be super. The trip is a chance
for me to push myself and take
my paddling to the next stage
in terms of trips; going to new
unexplored places in hopefully
a new and exciting culture and
environment!

Growing up in the kayak
heaven that is North Wales I
had a great oppurtunity to learn
from a young age and I havnt
stopped to look back since.
I've had the fortune to paddle
and race some great rivers around
the world. I've spent the last
4 years training to be an Outdoor
Instructor, I have a big passion
for all adventure sports. When
I'm not boating I'm half way
through my next climbing project.
I'm looking forward to what
the future might bring for me
and my Red Mystic.

Well it all started on Anglesey
at Mon Pad, does anyone still
remember this event?I've had
a real opportunity to get out
there and paddle from an early
age. My dad taught me much of
what I know now, along with
taking me on trips to the Alps
and rivers close to home. As
for now and the future, I’m
looking forward to hit some
of the rare treats which aren’t
paddled enough. Keen to learn
new tricks and push everything
to the next level. Last but
not least to satisfy my addiction
by having a hell of a time in
my Mystic!
Current Projects
Ticking rivers off my list.
Thinking of the future…

I’ve been paddling since I was tiny, my Dad and Uncle were keen kayakers and I just followed suit. I became a flat water coach and it was whilst working at an outdoor centre that I was first introduced to white water freestyle. I went to Uni but was sad to discover they had no canoe club, so I started my own, the club is slowly flourishing and we often team up with Portsmouth Uni Canoe Club, affectionately known as the Scumbags. Boating as taken me literally all over the world and I hope that It continues to take me to far flung corners of the earth in search for the next wave and the next big drop.

I first discovered my passion for kayaking on a school trip to a centre at the age of 11 and haven’t stopped since. I studied outdoor education at college and have been chasing my dream to become an instructor, now with 7 years experience in the industry I have been fortunate enough to work all over Europe paddling in some amazing locations.
I currently work at River strokes kayak School and also work freelancing in the area so paddling is pretty much all I do!
Looking to the future I aim to explore and seek out new rivers to add to the list and to develop and improve my paddling technique.
Current Projects

To build up some cool footage
